In January 2016 ms Veendam returns to the Caribbean in order to take over the roundtrip departures from Tampa, Florida.
From October 2015 to April 2016, ms Eurodam, ms Nieuw Amsterdam, ms Maasdam, ms Oosterdam, ms Prinsendam, ms Westerdam, ms Zuiderdam and ms Veendam, sail a total of 98 cruises ranging from seven to 14 days, that can be combined into longer sailings called Collectors’ Voyages, which range from 14 to 21 days. These itineraries span the Caribbean on western, eastern and southern routes, as well as a partial Panama Canal transit.
Nieuw Amsterdam and Eurodam will sail a series of 7-day eastern and western Caribbean itineraries during the season, that can be combined into 14-day Collectors’ Voyages. Westerdam maintains her weekly schedule of 7-day eastern Caribbean routes, while ms Maasdam sails 7- and 10-day eastern sailings, as well as 11-day southern itineraries. MS Oosterdam also offers 10- and 11-day southern Caribbean voyages ideal for those looking for a longer vacation.
In 2016 Nieuw Amsterdam will also include a new 7-day Tropical Caribbean itinerary that calls at maiden port Amber Cove, Carnival's new cruise center in Dominican Republic.
Other itineraries can be combined, in addition to the Collectors’ Voyages, to form a varied range of options, including Oosterdam's 21-day southern cruise, Maasdam's 21-day eastern and southern option, as well as a 17-day double-eastern route, also on ms Maasdam.
MS Zuiderdam offers Panama Canal transits and makes her way to Gatún Lake, spending the day in scenic cruising. The ship will also visit several Caribbean ports during the 10- and 11-day sailings.
Beginning in January 2016, ms Veendam spends the season in the Caribbean with roundtrip cruises from Tampa on 12- and 14-day southern and 7-day western itineraries. The 7- and 14-day options are eastily combined into 21-day western or southern Caribbean Collectors’ Voyage.
