Silversea and Fincantieri have signed a contract worth around EUR 310 million, for the construction of a new ultra-luxury ship, due to join the line’s fleet in 2020.

The newbuild, tentatively called Silver Moon is sister to Silver Muse, which was delivered in April 2017 at Sestri Ponente shipyard (Genoa). At 40,700 GT and with capacity 596 passengers, she will maintain the hallmarks of the Silversea experience - spacious all-suite accommodations and small-ship intimacy.

The newbuild will expand the fleet of Silversea to 10 ships. She will raise the bar in cruising ultra-luxury segment with a lot of enhancements to the onboard experience, while satisfying the requirements for service, quality and comfort of the most discerning travellers in the world.

The “Green star 3 Design” of the ship is assigned to units that are built and equipped in order to prevent water and air pollution. The “COMF-NOISE A PAX” & “COMF-NOISE B CREW” are assigned on the basis of noise levels measured onboard the ship.
