Passenger Medevaced From Crystal Serenity

A Cape Cod-based Coast Guard crew have medevaced a female passenger from Crystal Serenity approx 50 miles southeast of Montauk, NY on Sunday, September 17.

At approx 1:00 p.m., watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound have received a report from Crystal Serenity of a traveller suffering with severe stomach pains and have requested a medevac.

Watchstanders have directed the launch of Air Station Cape Cod MH-60 Jayhawk Helicopter aircrew to the ship.

At approx 2:45 p.m., the aircrew have hoisted the 65-year-old woman and transported her to TF Green Airport (Warwick, Rhode Island) where EMS crews were waiting.

Then the woman was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. Her condition is still unknown.
