Keel Laid for Hanseatic Inspiration

The keel laying for Hanseatic Inspiration held on Wednesday, October 18, set in motion the next stage of building for the 2nd of the pair of new expedition vessels for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises.

At the official ceremony held in the Romanian port of Tulcea, the CEO of the cruise line, Karl J. Pojer, laid a specially produced coin in the first block of what will be the ship’s hull. The coin was welded into the steel block and will bring the newbuild good fortune on all expeditions.

The ship will be handed over to to the cruise line in October 2019.
