Coast Guard Rescues Passenger From Carnival Cruise Ship

The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a 31-year-old cruise passenger from a Carnival ship off the Atlantic Coast of Florida.

Officials said in a news release that Carnival Sunshine crew had notified them on Monday night, October 23, that a passenger needed "a higher level of medical care."

A Coast Guard Station Port Canaveral crew launched at 11:07 p.m. They got the traveler onboard and took him to the port, where the rescue crew was waiting. The cruise passenger was taken to hospital for treatment.
