500 German cruise passengers were required to disembark from the ship in small boats due to the size and depth of port Denia.

MS Amadea, carrying a total of 600 retired Germans and Austrians, arrived at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 29, without any welcoming party.

The ship last arrived in port of Denia back in 2014 but its arrival was then promoted and greeted by the mayor. However, the latest arrival saw most of the travelers coming ashore and they had to do it via boats again.

Amadea was the first cruise ship ever to visit Denia in 2005 but was too big to get into the port and had to anchor offshore. Port Denia does not even have a draft for a ship 3-quarters the size of Amadea.
