National Geographic Expeditions partnered with Scenic Cruises & Tours to launch the extraordinary National Geographic River Cruises.
For next year, National Geographic will offer 8 itineraries: 7 in Europe and 1 on Irrawaddy River in Myanmar. The European cruises will sail along the Danube, Rhine, Main and Moselle rivers, inland waterways of Belgium and Holland, through Bordeaux region in France, and along Douro Valley in Portugal.

Passengers on all cruises will be accompanied by National Geographic experts who will give informal discussions and educational presentations throughout the sailing. The European voyages will feature a NatGeo photographer who will share techniques and help travellers hone their photography skills.
Passengers who wish to experience National Geographic River Cruises can expect experiential excursions like hikes, bike rides, learning experiences which focus on culture, history and nature.
