Norwegian Gem Cancels Cruise Due to Technical Problem

   November 8, 2017 ,   Accidents

Norwegian Gem's upcoming sailing from New York City this weekend was scrapped.

Norwegian Cruise Line cited propulsion issues for the cancellation, restricting cruising speed from full capacity.

In a message to trade partners the line said that in order to ensure the technical issue was resolved, they would be cancelling ship's cruise scheduled to depart on November 11.

All passengers booked on the sailing will get a full refund and a 50% credit for a future cruise.

In addition, NCL will cover change fees imposed by airlines up to US$300 per person.
