MSC Cruises announced more details on the upcoming line's flagship MSC Seaside. Entertainment to be offered onboard will feature BeerProv comedy, Broadway-style shows, flexible show seatings, interactive entertainment and various activities for kids.

For the first time on a ship of MSC Cruises fleet, passengers will be able to enjoy improv (improvised comedy) at sea onboard MSC Seaside. The popular North American troupe BeerProv will perform 6 nights per week in Metropolitan Theatre. The shows are 45 minutes long, feature 4 comedians, and high level of participation by the audience.

MSC have worked to develop 7 original Broadway-style theater shows for Seaside's 934-seat main theater. These include My Life in Music with the most popular movie soundtracks performed onstage, and something for vintage musical lovers: The Dream. An eye-catching show with great illusions is The Wizard - Peter Punk provides a nice take on the Peter Pan tale.

6 original concerts from opera, to piano solos and Latin, will be performed in the Metropolitan Theatre, via the help of the onboard violinist, pianist, tenor and soprano, for fans of live music.

For the first time in the history of the company, guests aboard MSC Seaside will choose from up to 4 sittings of a Broadway-style show per evening, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and running until late into the night. The performances will feature 15 dancers, 14 variety artists, and 5 singers.

An entertainment area aboard Seaside offers high-tech thrills, such as an F1 racing simulator, 2 full-sized bowling lanes, arcade games and XD cinema. A couple of the longest zip lines at sea will take guests on a high-speed ride ending at the back of MSC Seaside.

The ship features not one, but 2 special LEGO themed rooms. The Mini Club-LEGO Sailor room is for 3-6-year-old, themed to mirror the Caribbean environment of the ship, with sailors made out of LEGOs. The Junior-LEGO Pirates Club is for kids 7-11, with the latest LEGO toys and video games, this time with pirates made out of the blocks.

The late-night babysitting group onboard is for kids 3-11, where parents can leave kids from 11:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. to enjoy some time to themselves. During days in port, parents can drop off kids for free from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. for a full day. The kids’ clubs have the latest equipment, such as 3D printing, 3D product scanning and virtual reality gaming.

The Metropolitan Theatre will host screenings of famous family-friendly movies up to twice per voyage. On each port day, parents will be able to join in on the fun at kid’s clubs. Another offering features an interactive game show where children and teens can test their pop culture and sports knowledge in a team game held in the disco.
