Tomorrow, November 29, MSC Cruises will take delivery of its newest ship, MSC Seaside. Designed by Fincantieri S.p.A., and built at Monfalcone shipyard, the 160,000 GT Seaside is the biggest cruise ship ever built by Fincantieri at 1,059 feet in length.
MSC Cruises signed the contract for the construction of MSC Seaside and sister ship MSC Seaview (due to enter service June 2018) in May 2014, along with an option for a 3rd sister ship that would be introduced 2021.
The maiden voyage of MSC Seaside commences from Trieste on December 1. The vessel will reach Miami on December 21, 2017 for a naming ceremony and fireworks display as she begins year-round cruises to the Caribbean from Miami.
