Popular US radio host Elvis Duran will serve as godfather to NCL’s 16th ship at Pier 66, Seattle on May 30 alongside Frank Del Rio, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ president and chief executive, and Andy Stuart, Norwegian Cruise Line president and chief executive.
Norwegian Bliss will sail weekly 7-day Alaska cruises during her inaugural summer season. From November 2018, the ship will move to the Caribbean to sail 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruises from Port Miami.
According to NCL Duran, who helms weekday morning programme named "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show", mirrored “the fun, exciting and original personality that Norwegian Bliss so wholly embodies”.
Duran follows in the footsteps of past Norwegian godmothers and godfathers, such as actress Kim Cattrall, comedian Rosie O’Donnell and rapper Pitbull, in taking up the honour.
