Friday, December 29, 2017, became a significant day in the history of cruise sector in Barbados, as the island welcomed its record 812864th cruise tourist.
The family of Tom & Laura Thieman from Dayton (Ohio, USA), arrived at Bridgetown Port in the morning, onboard Wind Star.
The couple was welcomed by Richard Sealy, Tourism Minister and David Jean-Marie, Chief Executive Officer of Bridgetown Port, and other officials. To mark the occasion, they were presented with a plaque and several gifts.
The Thiemans visited Barbados for the very first time and were excited after receiving such a warm welcome.
They said that they were interested in participating in a lot of activities, including going on an island tour.
