Passenger Medevaced From Cunard's Cruise Ship

A passenger believed to have suffered a stroke has been airlifted from a Cunard cruise ship off Isle of Wight Sunday night, January 7.

Shortly before 9:00 p.m. the alarm was raised onboard Queen Victoria, around 7 miles off St Catherine's Point.

According to UK Coastguard spokesman it was believed the elderly man suffered a stroke.

He was medevaced from the liner by the coastguard helicopter and then taken to Southampton General Hospital.

Queen Victoria continued on her way to Bermuda.
