Carnival Cruise Line soon announced the names of the 4 craft beers that will be brewed onboard the new Carnival Horizon, set to debut in Europe on April 2, 2018.

The refreshing brews were developed by line’s expert brewmaster Colin Presby. They will be offered at Guy’s Pig and Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse/Brewhouse, Carnival's new dining concept which combines the best of the two worlds: a full-service restaurant and onboard brewery featuring “real deal” BBQ favorites along with sides developed by Guy Fieri, Food Network star and member of American Royal National Barbecue Hall of Fame.

The names of the beers are playful takes on Carnival’s popular ThirstyFrog brews which debuted onboard Carnival Vista. They are inspired by the barbecue offerings at the Smokehouse/Brewhouse. The 4 new beers offered on Carnival Horizon include:

  • ParchedPig Farmhouse Aleis lightly hopped beer distinguished by its fruity and complex character, blond color, and mild spice notes which balance the dry finish.
  • ParchedPig Smoked Porter, which is brewed with in-house smoked malt. This full-bodied, robust beer offers bold flavors and notes of hickory smoke and molasses, providing the best complement to Smokehous/Brewhouse BBQ favorites.
  • ParchedPig Toasted Amber Ale is highlighted by rich amber color. It has notes of toasted caramel and biscuit, smooth, well balanced and highly drinkable.
  • ParchedPig West Coast IPA is the embodiment of the traditional West Coast India Pale Ale. It is hoppy and intense, loaded with bitterness and distinctive aroma of pine and citrus, along with bright flavor profile.

The new brewery takes center stage at the Smokehouse/Brewhouse, which, in addition to custom cocktails and delicious craft beers, will offer a down-home, rustic decor and various Fieri-designed favorites, all of which smoked “low and slow” using chef’s signature spices.
