According to Maquirang, these cruise ships would further boost tourist arrivals coming in 2018. This year’s target for Boracay Island is about 2.2 million tourists.

In January at least ten cruise ship arrivals are expected, in February another ten, in March also 10, in April 4, in June 1, in August 1, in October 1, in November 4, and in December 7, for a total of 48 visits.

In previous years, Department of Tourism was developing Boracay Island as part of Southeast Asia's cruise-ship hub.
