Pacific Pearl will be the latest ship in the fleet of P and O Cruises to offer passengers an extra dose of cruise holiday adrenaline, by the addition of the famous P&O Edge Adventure Park - part of a major scheduled refurbishment this month.

The new Adventure Park will feature over 15 great activities, such as a surfboard simulator and favourites like the bungy tramp, walk the plank and flying fox.

When on August 15 the Pacific Pearl emerges from Sydney dry dock, she will also boast a Pandora outlet, so guests will be able to indulge in some shopping with one of top jewellery brands in Australia.

Ship’s décor will take on a new stylish look after the refit, with contemporary furniture, fresh colour palette and artwork creating a modern feel for the Atrium, Mix bar, Orient, Connexions and Luna restaurant. The Plantation buffet will also be redesigned to offer a fashionable café vibe.

Pacific Pearl's multi-million dollar refurb will see general refreshment of guest cabins and public spaces including the spa, Dome and Waterfront restaurant, with 17,000 sq.m of carpet fitted on the cruise ship.

Duelling pianos will join The Orient to enhance the onboard entertainment, turning the bar into an interactive music hub.

Sture Myrmell, P&O Senior Vice President, announced that the refit was in line with the recent refurbishment of Pacific Jewel, as well as the modern design of line’s latest vessels, Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden, joining the fleet in November.
