Seabourn Ovation will sail on her maiden season with 11-day inaugural cruise departing May 5 from Venice to Barcelona. The christening ceremony will take place Friday, May 11, in Valletta, Malta. Elaine Paige, one of the highly-acclaimed actresses and singers in the world, will serve as godmother and will name the newbuild during a spectacular ceremony lighting up the UNESCO World Heritage site and 2018 European Capital of Culture.

The vessel will spend the majority of her maiden season sailing the waters of Northern Europe on a series of 7-day Baltic & Scandinavian itineraries between Copenhagen and Stockholm, including Seabourn's signature 3-day stay in St Petersburg, Russia. Ovation will also sail on longer 2-week voyages, visiting the Norwegian fjords and British Isles.
