P&O Cruises will launch ‘The Big Laugh’, the first-of-its-kind Comedy Festival at Sea on Pacific Jewel in August 2018.
A total of 9 big-name Aussie and Kiwi comics including Brendhan Lovegrove, Heath Franklin and Cal Wilson will deliver 22 shows and combined 1,000 minutes of jokes at the 3-night festival.
The announcement came as P&O Cruises launches its largest ever season of comedy, comprising 9 dedicated comedy trips departing Auckland in 2018-2019.
In 2018 the cruise line will carry a total of 45,000 Kiwis on twenty-two roundtrip voyages as part of its record New Zealand season which runs for 6 months between March 21-August 23 and is due to contribute around US$25 million into local economy via port charges, guest and crew spending.
