Carnival Cruise Line will shift Carnival Breeze to Galveston, Texas to make way for its new ship, Carnival Vista,  when she is deployed in Miami next year in November.

Carnival will also position Carnival Liberty in Galveston TX in 2016. The line has just repositioned to Galveston Carnival Freedom, where she’s courting new business.

Carnival’s president Christine Duffy said that Miami and Galveston were among their most popular embarkation points, and deploying their newest, most innovative ships there spoke volumes about their confidence in growing those markets.

The currently sailing from Galveston Carnival Magic and Triumph, will be redeployed soon. Details are to be announced later.

Prior to the start-up of Miami year-round service, Carnival Vista will operate a pair of cruises round-trip from New York, starting with a 3-day voyage on November 4, 2016, followed by an 11-day one departing on November 7 and visiting Grand Turk, St. Thomas, San Juan, Antigua and St. Maarten.

Thereafter Carnival Vista will offer an 11-day transit voyage on November 18 sailing to Miami from New York, with calls at Grand Turk, Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten. Her first cruise from Miami will be 4-day-long departing November 29 to Grand Turk, followed by alternating 6- and 8-day Caribbean itineraries.
