Passenger Medevaced from Silver Muse

The USCG has airlifted a 76-year-old passenger from Silver Muse on Thursday, April 26, approx 80 miles south of Nantucket MA.

A crew member aboard the cruiser has contacted Coast Guard watchstanders through satellite phone at about 9:30 a.m. reporting that a male passenger was experiencing paralysis symptoms and needed further medical treatment.

Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod helicopter crew arrived on scene to assist at approx11:45 a.m. and hoisted the man.

The aircrew then transported the passenger to Cape Cod Hospital where the care was transferred to awaiting medical personnel.
