Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines was crowned ‘Britain’s Best Cruise Line for Food’, in the prestigious ‘Telly’ Awards of Holiday & Cruise Channel, voted for by viewers. The line registered nearly 10,000 votes and won by a considerable margin.

Every quarter, Holiday & Cruise Channel, which broadcasts on Freeview Channel 55 and Sky Channel 256, runs a poll on its website, in order to find out what viewers think about picked areas of cruising. The winner takes one of the coveted ‘Telly’ prizes. During the last quarter, the cruise channel asked about Britain’s ‘Best Cruise Line for Food’, and Fred.Olsen came out as resounding winner.

The line offers a range of dining experiences across its four-ship-fleet, including Balmoral, Black Watch, Boudicca and Braemar, to suit the tastes of its primarily British clientele.

The award-winning cuisine of Fred. Olsen includes hearty breakfasts, fresh fruit, tasty buffets and ‘Traditional Afternoon Tea’ white-glove-service. The 5-course mouth-watering à la carte menus, seafood dishes and speciality grilled meat in the new Grill restaurants have been introduced across the whole fleet.

Fred. Olsen caters to vegetarians and guests with special dietary needs. All passengers are asked about any special requirements when they complete the booking forms, so that ship's Executive Chef and his crew are made aware. The culinary team are always happy to discuss on the menus with line's guests while onboard.

Fred. Olsen offers various regional UK departures, more than any other line, sailing from 10 convenient cruise ports in 2015: Avonmouth (Bristol), Belfast, Dover, Greenock, Harwich, Liverpool, Newcastle, Tilbury, Edinburgh and Southampton
