Crystal Debussy Christened In Amsterdam

Crystal River Cruises welcomed its newest ship on Monday, May 28, and officially christened Crystal Debussy in Amsterdam.

To mark the occasion were Tom Wolber, Crystal’s president & CEO, Walter Littlejohn, Crystal River Cruises’ vice president & managing director, and Broadway star Rachel York, Crystal Debussy’s godmother.

The ceremony took place during ship’s 3-day stay in Amsterdam on her 10-day “Splendors of the Rhine” cruise, allowing passengers aboard to participate in traditional festivities, while Crystal Cruises crew looked on from the decks.

Crystal Debussy joins the “Best River Cruise Line” voted by the readers of Travel+Leisure in magazine’s 2017 World’s Best Awards.

The 106-passenger Crystal Debussy embarked on a maiden voyage along Rhine River on April 9 and currently sails on 7- and 10-day itineraries between Amsterdam and Basel along Rhine and Moselle rivers, visiting the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium.
