Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line Drops Single Supplement

   June 21, 2018 ,   Cruise Industry

Most cruise lines still charge double occupancy rates for a single traveller sailing alone in a stateroom. However, effective immediately, Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line (BPCL) is dropping single supplements on all cruises in oceanview staterooms.

The cruise line cites a recent study by Booking.com on solo travel which found that 40% of baby boomers had taken a solo trip during the last year and 21% plan to take one in 2018. Additionally, 34% of respondents said solo travel was among the “top 5 trips that they have already been on and would like to go on again.”

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line now offers oceanview staterooms sans single supplement that are available daily. Rates begin at US$149 per person. The price includes a special welcome reception exclusively for solo cruisers.
