Port of Riga Becomes a Member of CLIA

Latvian Freeport of Riga Authority became a member of CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association), the largest cruise industry association in the world.

Membership in the organization will open the path for closer cooperation between Freeport of Riga Authority and the largest cruise line operators in the world, thus facilitating the development of port's cruise sector.

Moreover, within the framework of Cruise Lines International Association, it's possible to meet and address decision-makers of cruise line operators, that is particularly important for Port of Riga, according to the port authority.

Currently, more than 20 cruise companies are calling at Port of Riga, port’s data shows.

Riga is witnessing a growing number of cruise ships of new operators coming to the port. On Wednesday, June 20, the port welcomed Cunard's Queen Elisabeth. The British operator entered Riga for the first time.
