Keel Laying Ceremony Held for Seven Seas Splendor

The keel laying ceremony was held on Thursday, June 28, at Ancona shipyard for Seven Seas Splendor, the 2nd super luxury cruise ship which Fincantieri is building for RSSC-Regent Seven Seas. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2020.

The ceremony was attended by President and CEO of Regent Seven Seas, Jason Montague, who was welcomed by Fincantieri Ancona yard manager, Giovanni Stecconi.

Just like her sistership, Seven Seas Explorer, which was delivered by Fincantieri at Sestri Ponente shipyard in 2016, the newbuild will be 55,000 GT with accommodation for 750 guests. She will be constructed using the latest in environmental protection technologies. Ship's interiors will be sophisticated, with attention paid to guest comfort.
