G Adventures  welcomed the ban on single-use plastics in Galapagos Islands, and is now offering all its customers to the archipelago one complimentary reusable water bottle for sea- and land-based trips departing from January 1, 2019.

Galapagos Council announced earlier in 2018 that as of February 26, next year, non-returnable bottles of any description would no longer be allowed on the Galapagos Islands. This followed a ban on plastic straws that came into effect May 26, 2018, as well as plastic bags, that are no longer allowed.
