Uniworld Introduces New Dining Options

   August 5, 2018 ,   Cruise Industry

Uniworld launched a variety of impressive food experiences onboard its ships in 2018. New options range from alternative dining and progressive dinners to farm-to-ship meals and alfresco venues.

Uniworld offers its progressive dining on each of line's Super Ships. The unique experience takes passengers to a different location on the vessel for each course, starting with appetizers in ship's galley, and ending with dessert on the top deck. Menus vary with the destination, season region and chef.

The alternative dining of Uniworld provides passengers with the option of creating a meal with the chefs. Onboard SS Joie de Vivre guests create a 7-course meal at La Cave du Vin restaurant, making lamb de Provence, foie gras, regional cheeses and desserts. At L’Osteria, aboard River Countess, participants can learn to cook Italian antipasto, breadsticks, al fresco pizza, and more.

Five of Uniworld ships (River Countess, River DuchessRiver EmpressRiver Princess, River Queen) offer al fresco dining on their sun decks. Room service is available for travellers aboard all the vessels.

Uniworld’s ships always choose their beverage and food options based on the regions visited. Meals are often created with native vegetables and meats. The onboard bars also take cues from the destinations, serving local craft beer, wine from nearby vineyards and special cocktails.
