National Geographic and Ponant Join Forces to Market Small Ship Expedition Cruises

Over the next 4 years Ponant plans to create more than 130 unique expedition itineraries, including 18 already on sale.

National Geographic continues its partnership with Lindblad. Drawing on NatGeo's 130 years of exploration experience, its expedition experts and photographers are expected onboard Ponant liners to engage with passengers and create “immersive and quality experience,” according to a joint statement from the two lines.

Ponant Cruises has a fleet of 7 top-luxury expedition ships (fleet to be increased to 12 by 2021). Accommodating between 180-240 passengers, these boats feature innovative designs and latest marine technologies, and the multi-sensory underwater lounge Blue Eye.

In 2021, Ponant takes delivery of industry's first-ever luxury icebreaking ship - Ponant Icebreaker). This is a hybrid electric cruise ship (LNG-powered).

The 20-night Antarctic Odyssey departs Montevideo on November 19, 2019 (on Le Lyrial) and costs USD 21860. The 16-night Beyond the Polar Circle departs Ushuaia on January 15, 2020, and costs USD 21950.
