Costa ship starts World Cruise

Costa Cruises announced yesterday (September 14) that Costa Luminosa started her world cruise departing from Savona, Italy for 98 days.

According to the line, more than 1,000 passengers embarked in Savona. Another 260 will join in Marseille, France and 240 more in Barcelona, Spain for a total of nearly 1,500 guests. Costa did not announce if they were aboard for the duration of the cruise or for segments.

The itinerary of Luminosa is westward and will cover around 30,230 nautical miles and 39 different destinations, including port calls in France, Spain, the United States, Colombia, Mexico, Caribbean, Hawaii, Polynesia, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, India, the UAE, Oman and Jordan.

Costa Luminosa will offer longer visits in some destinations, such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, Mumbai, Cochin and Dubai (2 days), Singapore and Sydney (3 days).

Another world cruise, also aboard Luminosa, will depart on January 6, next year and sail 108 days.
