Free lobster pulled from Carnival short cruises

Carnival guests who booked on sailings of five or fewer nights will no longer benefit from free lobster on the MDR (main dining room) menus on line's formal night.

A statement from the company published yesterday says, that lobster will only be available to buy at dinner as part of Carnival's Steakhouse Selections menu. The Selections menu carries a fee of US$20.

Instead, Carnival Cruise Lines will add new items to the dining room menus on formal, Elegant Nights, such as broiled sea scallops with citrus gremolata and truffled risotto, blue crab ravioli in lobster cream with vodka, grilled jumbo shrimp with mustard potatoes and marinara sauce, oven baked Japanese sea bass with aromatic basmati rice and nicoise sauce, roasted duck with au gratin potatoes and orange glaze.
