Royal Caribbean's ship Anthem of the Seas was successfully floated out on Saturday at Meyer Werft's shipyard, Papenburg, Germany despite numerous delays due to bad weather.
The float out was scheduled for 1:00 p.m. local time. It had to be pushed back several times, but eventually the new ship left the building dock and was towed to the shipyard harbor.
While staying there, Anthem of the Seas will receive last tests and changes. The 4,180-passenger ship, sister to Quantum of the Seas is undergoing stabilizer and thrust tests in preparation for her launch in Southampton in April.
The next milestone for the Anthem will be her conveyance on River Ems to Black Sea for sea trials. Then, she will make her way to Southampton to start offering cruises.
