Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) announced that this upcoming October was National Plan a Cruise Month.

The month-long campaign is highlighted by a wealth of cruise offers, including the chance to win free cruise vacations.

CLIA CEO Cindy D'Aoust stated that the National Plan a Cruise Month put cruises in the spotlight and helped travelers discover the incredible experiences that such a vacation offered. There are more cruise options today than ever before, ranging from river and ocean cruising to paddlewheeler cruises and yachting.

D'Aoust added they wanted "to spread the love of cruising during National Plan a Cruise Month through incredible offers and deals as well as fantastic chances to win cruise vacations".

CLIA announced that several lines were offering special deals for vacationers who book next month. Promotions offering US$1,500 in savings are offered in addition to free packages and upgrades once on board.

In addition to the excellent deals, cruisers can test their luck and take a chance to win a free cruise. Nearly 2 dozen cruise lines teamed up to award 31 free voyages from October 1 through October 31. Users who want to win must submit to CruiseSmile.org their "cruise smile" photo or post it on Instagram or Twitter accompanied by hashtags #Sweepstakes and #CruiseSmile.

A 7-night luxury cruise to the South Pacific and Tahiti and an 8-day European river cruise departing out of Paris are among the free voyages that will be given away to the winners. Entrants must be at least 13 yo to participate. Each day a new winner will be selected. If you don't win, the following day you have to submit a new photo to be eligible for the new day's giveaway.
