Oceania Riviera is “Best Overall ship” in the Mid-Size ship awards, receiving four more awards as well. Fred. Olsen was successful in 3 Small Ship and 2 Mid-Size categories, for Black Watch and Balmoral, respectively.
The Cruisers' Choice Awards of Cruise Critic are based entirely on the reviews submitted by travelers for voyages taken during 2014. The Awards include three ship classes, according to guest capacity: small (1,199 or fewer), mid-sized (from 1,200 to 1,999) and large (over 2,000). The top 10 vessels in each class are named in the categories: Overall, Dining, Cabins, Fitness, Embarkation, Entertainment, Public Rooms, Shore Excursions, Service and Value-for-Money. Prizess are also given to top-ranked ships in popular regions: Caribbean, Mediterranean, Alaska and Bahamas.
Saga Holidays took 4 of the Small Ship class prizes with Saga Sapphire for “Best Overall Ship”, “Best Embarkation”, “Best Cabins” and “Best Dining”. Azamara Club Cruises won 3 awards in the same category with "Best Public Rooms” and “Best Fitness” going to Azamara Quest, and “Best Entertainment” - to Azamara Journey.
UK editor at Cruise Critic, Adam Coulter, explained that as the Choice Awards were based on first-hand experiences, they provided valuable insight to any traveler researching a cruise holiday.

Disney Dream was given the “Best Large Ship” award - for the 3rd year in a row a ship of Disney Cruises has received top honors in Cruise Critic's Cruisers' Choice Awards. Disney Dream also took the top spot in "Best Cruises to the Bahamas” and “Large Ship Best Entertainment” categories. Disney took home 9 other first place prizes, including Disney Wonder’s “Best Midsize Ship”, and Disney Fantasy’s “Large Ship Best Cabin”, "Best for Families” and “Best Service”.
Oceania Cruises' Riviera won “Best Dining” and "Best Cabins” in the Mid-size category. Carnival Liberty was named “Best Value-for-Money” ship in the Large vessel category.
“Best Shore Excursions” went to cruise ships that sail unique itineraries like Silverseas' Silver Galapagos which won in the Small Ship category. Coral Princess won for Midsize Ship. She sails full and partial Panama Canal transits.
Other winners for 2015 include: “Best Ship for Dining” - Nieuw Amsterdam, Large; "Best Ship for Entertainment” - Pacific Princess, Small; "Best Ship for Value” - Zuiderdam, Midsize; "Best Ship for Service” - Regent Seven Seas Voyager, Small; "Best Mediterranean Cruises” - Celebrity Reflection, All Sizes; "Best Alaska Cruises” - Radiance of the Seas, All Sizes.
