This was the only scheduled call of Triumph to Dominica during the 2014/2015 cruise season.
As part of the welcome ceremony aboard the Truimph, tourism stakeholders and government officials exchanged plaques with the captain and crew. To commemorate the occasion, Ti Bois and Rhythm and Steels - local steel pan ensemble, provided shore side entertainment during the festivities.
Dominica’s director of tourism Colin Piper said they were excited to welcome Carnival Triumph, her passengers and crew. He also added the relationship between Carnival and Dominica began in 1989, and were pleased to build on the long-standing partnership.
Upon leaving Dominica, Carnival Truimph sailed to St. Maarten. In 1989 Carnival truly began calling on Dominica, but stopped in 2010. The Triumph is the third CCL ship to call on the island since then.
Cruisers to Dominica can register for the Return & Win program of the island at the sign-up desk at Roseau Cruise Ship Berth. Guests or crew receive a redemption code which is unique and valid for $200 credit toward next land-based vacation for a 5-night stay minimum.
