A Carnival Cruise Line event raised over US$12,000 for Kids in Distress of Broward and Palm Beach Counties, which is 20% more than last year's event.

Fort Lauderdale Improv has been transformed into Punchliner Comedy Club with appearances by Jason Blanchard, Pat Godwin, Thea Vidale and Vince Morris. The event was sponsored by the Global Contact Center of Carnival and hosted by one of the sales coaches of the company, Eli Rodriguez, who is also a professional comedian.

The funds raised will be used to help the nationally accredited agency Kids in Distress working for preservation of the family, prevention of child abuse and treatment of neglected and abused children.

Carnival’s Punchliner Comedy Clubs by George Lopez are featured onboard all 24 of line’s ships and stage over 20,000 comedy shows annually.
