Carnival Inspiration is still at the Vigor Shipyard in Portland, Oregon, during the final stages of its extensive multi-million dry dock that started January 18.

Along with a number of new bar and dining concepts that are being added during the 3-week renovation, the 2,052-passenger ship was taken out of water for routine maintenance, including a new hull coating and the addition of shore power capabilities.

Onboard features added during the dry dock include a Mexican eatery named BlueIguana Cantina serving authentic burritos and tacos, Guy’s Burger Joint via partnership with Food Network star Guy Fieri, cocktail pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar, Cherry on Top sweets and novelty store, as well as two new poolside watering holes - BlueIguana Tequila Bar and RedFrog Rum Bar.

Carnival Inspiration will be repositioned from Portland to its homeport Long Beach CA, and then resume year-round schedule of 3- and 4-day Baja cruises February 8.
