Golfo Aranci (Sardinian: Figari, Gallurese: Figari) is a municipality (comune) in the Province of Olbia-Tempio located in the Italian region Sardinia, about 200 kilometres (120 miles) north of Cagliari and around 13 kilometres (8 miles) northeast of Olbia.
The name of Golfo Aranci comune derives probably from the wrong spelling of Sardinian Golfu di li Ranci ("Gulf of the Crabs"). Once famous as Figari, the current town grew up as a fishing port in the middle of the 18th century. In early 19th century the Royal Decree made it the major port for the arrivals from mainland, contributing to its population growth.
