Isla Partida (Gulf of California) is connected to Isla Espiritu Santo by a tight isthmus. The two islands, both located in the Gulf of California, are protected as biospheres by UNESCO. They are situated a boat ride from La Paz (Baja California Peninsula, Mexico). It features a land area of 15.5 km (9.6 miles) and is part of Municipality of La Paz (Baja California Sur).
Isla Partida features rugged canyons where passengers can kayak close to rock-walled headlands or swim in the sheltered Ensenada Grande cove. Ensenada Grande is a mangrove-backed beach where sandy bottom shelves out gradually for hundreds of feet.
