Punta Frances is situated on the west coast of Isla de Jevuntud. For most of the five hundred years since it was first discovered by Columbus, this beach-ringed isle 60 miles southwest of the mainland of Cuba was much neglected by the outside world. Part of Los Canarreos archipelago it was previously known as 'lsland of Parrots' and then 'lsland of Pines'. However, today's name (which means 'Island of Youth') reflects the current status as popular but unspoilt location for swimming and sunbathing. Above all it provides some of the best diving experiences anywhere in Cuba, with the appeal of clear waters and reefs enriched by the legends of buried treasures abandoned by pirates whose lair the isle once was.
The Punta Frances cruise port map is interactive. It shows the port's exact location, along with the real-time cruise ship traffic (if any) in its vicinity - today, and right now. By zooming-out you can see other cruise ship ports located near Punta Frances, Cuba.
