Trogir is a harbour port and historic town on Adriatic Sea, located in Croatia's Split-Dalmatia County, and with population around 13,000. The town is actually on a small island (located between Ciovo Island and mainland Croatia), approx 27 km (17 mi) west from Split.

The town is 6 km (4 mi) from the international Split Airport (aka Resnik Airport), served with regular bus line from Trogir. Split Suburban Railway is planned to be lengthened towards Trogir and Split Airport. Town's water supply is sourced from Jadro River.

In 1997, Trogir's downtown was designated UNESCO site. Region's economy is heavily based on tourism, which as industry covers over 50% of the municipality's budget and includes over 20,000 tourist beds available in hotels and private apartments.

Trogir is one of Croatia's fastest-growing cruise ports for sail-ship tourism. The port harbour also houses two boat marinas (berthing facilities for leisure boats and yachts). Other important industries are shipbuilding, agriculture and commercial fishing. Trogir Shipyard (established in the early-20th century) has capacity to build 2 ships simultaneously (max DWT 55,000 tons each vessel).
