An interesting fact is that on March 12, 1894 the famous Coca-Cola soft drink was bottled for the first time in Vicksburg by the local confectioner, Joseph A. Biedenharn. Nowadays, surviving Biedenharn soda bottles of the 19th century are prized by Coca-Cola memorabilia's collectors. The original candy store has been renovated as Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum.
