Xeo Quyt belongs to the Communes of My Long and My Hiep, Cao Lanh District (Dong Thap Province, Vietnam). It is famous as a revolutionary base during anti-French and US resistance wars. Present-day Xeo Quyt's forest was reclaimed and became an attractive ecological and historical tourist site in the southern Mekong delta.
In the middle of a dense forest area was the former headquarters of Provincial Party Committee during Vietnam war. South Vietnamese troops and the American knew about camp's existence and attacked it on regular basis with group forces or from the air. With the help of local population and through inventive hiding strategies in this jungle-like forest, the Communist leaders managed to escape the attacks, and take part in the assault on Saigon from here on.
Currently the area is a park and open-air museum. Tourists can explore it by foot, or with sampans, gliding through tiny channels, exploring the command center, hiding places and caves surrounded by nature. The attraction is a more relaxed and much calmer alternative to a trip to the popular Cu Chi tunnels, that are now completely overrun.
The Xeo Quyt cruise port map is interactive. It shows the port's exact location, along with the real-time cruise ship traffic (if any) in its vicinity - today, and right now. By zooming-out you can see other cruise ship ports located near Xeo Quyt, Mekong Delta, Vietnam.
If you lose the Xeo Quyt location on the map, simply reload the page (also with F5 button). This feature is integrated with the CruiseMapper's cruise ship tracker tracking the vessels' current positions at sea and in ports.
