Review of MS Danubia
MS Danubia lives up to her name as she is travelling up and down Europe’s 2nd-longest river, the Danube. The river cruise ship was refurbished in 2007, and provides a relaxing way of sailing through countries such as Hungary, Slovakia, Germany and Switzerland.
MS Danubia has a one-sitting restaurant, a lounge with a bar, and partially covered sun deck. All ms Danubia 71 passenger cabins are outside, identically designed with panoramic windows which can be partially opened. All accommodations feature 2 lower beds, WC, shower, adjustable air-conditioning, writing desk, TV, telephone and safe. Guests spend their leisure time on Danubia's Sun Deck, where they can admire the sights from deck chairs.
Meals are served in ship's Restaurant on B-Deck, where passengers can try light bites in the early morning or buffet breakfast a little later. Lunch is offered either standard sit-down or buffet style, while dinners are 5-course gourmet affairs with complimentary regional wines. Produce is regional and fresh. Passengers can also indulge in the afternoon tea and cake service, or pamper with a midnight snack.
Note: You can see the CruiseMapper's list of all river cruise ships and riverboats in the "itinerary" section of our River Cruises hub. All companies and their fleets are listed there.
