Scenic Aura

The 2016-built RV Scenic Aura cruise ship is currently deployed on the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar/Burma (Southeast Asia). The boat's itinerary program offers Irrawaddy cruises leaving from homeports Mandalay and Pyay-Prome (to/from Yangon-Rangoon). This is the second of two vessels in Scenic Cruises' fleet operating in Asia - the first being the sistership Scenic Spirit (on Mekong River, in Vietnam and Cambodia).

Scenic Tours (aka Scenic Cruises) is one of the "most all-inclusive" river cruise lines. All meals, drinks (except the French Champagne and highest-end liquor brands), excursions, butler service and the Internet are included in cruise fares. Even all the mini-bar drinks are complimentary.

The riverboat Scenic Aura was built by Myanma Shipyards (Upland Ship Construction) in Yangon.

Decks and Cabins

The Scenic Aura ship has 22 staterooms (in 7 Suite grades) and 5 passenger decks (3 with cabins).

All staterooms are with floor-ceiling sliding doors that open to a full-size veranda (down-slide-opening French Balcony) furnished with a round table and wicker chairs.

Cabin categories include RS-Royal Panorama Suite (x2, deck4), RD-Grand Deluxe Suite (x8, deck4), and A, B, BA, C, CA (x12, decks 2-3-4).

Shipboard facilities

Scenic Aura restaurants include Crystal Restaurant, Portobellos (Italian), Riverview Terrace (al fresco), Table la Rive (Diamond Deck, for Suite passengers only). There are also a Panorama Lounge, River Cafe, Wellness Centre (Gym and Spa), swimming pool, shop, an elevator (connecting all cabin decks), spacious top-deck with served terrace and shaded sitting area.

On all (price-inclusive) Scenic cruise tours and excursions ashore, guests receive GPS tracking devices (called ScenicTailorMade) with uploaded digital maps. They also double as listening devices for the live narration by the line's local expert tour guides provided on all group travel excursions. Binoculars and bicycles are also provided complimentary to fully enjoy the scenery everywhere along the itinerary route.
