Brandenburg is an Ohio River cruise port and small town in Meade County (Kentucky, USA) with population around 3,000. The town is approx 46 mi (74 km) southwest of the state's largest city Louisville.

The settlement (Falling Springs) was officially founded in 1804 when the land (3000 acres / 12 km2) was purchased by Solomon Brandenburg (German jew). The village grew around his tavern, in 1825 became Meade County's seat and in 1872 was incorporated by Kentucky's assembly. The current-day town covers total area 4 mi2 (10 km2).
