Frederick Sound (aka Fridrikhe Zund) is a waterway passage in the Alexander Archipelago (Southeast Alaska). It separates Kupreanof Island (to the south) from Admiralty Island in the north. This Alaskan sound is named after Prince Frederick (Duke of York and Albany, 1763-1827) and was first charted in 1794.Frederick Sound (Alaska)
