Isla Partida is located in the Gulf of California (Baja Mexico). The island is connected to Isla Espiritu Santo by a narrow isthmus (strip of land). Both islands are UNESCO protected reserves. They are accessible by boat from La Paz (Baja California, Mexico). Isla Partida has a total land area of approx 16 kms (10 ml2) and is part of Mexico's Baja California Sur state.
The island's landscape features rugged canyons where cruise travelers can enjoy sea kayaking (close to the rock-walled headlands) or swimming in the sheltered Ensenada Grande - cove with a mangrove-backed beach.
