Newhaven is a small town and cruiseferry port in East Sussex (England UK). Besides cruise port, Newhaven is also homeport for regularly-scheduled English Channel crossings to France (Dieppe). Newhaven Harbour is located at the mouth of Ouse River. The port became railway-connected in 1847, since when train-ferry operations were greatly developed. In 1882, the area was officially named "Port of Newhaven".
