Review of MS Amadeus Princess

MS Amadeus Princess cruise ship (MS Brabant as chartered by Fred Olsen) is one of the oldest riverboats in the fleet of Amadeus River Cruises (Luftner Cruises brand). In 2018 (April through November) the ship was operated under "time charter" by the UK company Fred Olsen Cruise Line under the name "MS Brabant".

MS Amadeus Princess cruise ship (Brabant)

Fred Olsen has incorporated a large amount of cruising in daylight hours into company's new river cruisetour itineraries, so that passengers can make the most of the scenery on offer at the day's best time. The new 2018 itineraries on MS Brabant are on the routes Dusseldorf to Amsterdam, Dusseldorf to Nuremberg, Nuremberg to Budapest, Budapest to Bucharest, Dusseldorf to Basel, Bucharest to Dusseldorf.

The Amadeus Princess (Brabant) riverboat didn't receive a refurbishment prior to Fred Olsen's "time charter". Boat's branding and hull livery were changed, and there was a Fred Olsen staff member onboard in order to ensure company's standards are met. The rest of the crew were Luftner Cruises employees. As Fred Olsen's customers are predominantly British, the shipboard language was English and all payments were in GBP.

Fred Olsen's Brabant ship maiden voayge started on April 11, 2018 - 5-night Amsterdam to Dusseldorf itinerary (themed "Springtime Dutch Discovery") visiting Hoorn, Kampen, Deventer, Arnhem, Nijmegen.
