My Western Caribbean Cruise
I really enjoyed this cruise. The Harmony is amazing and its crew is able to keep everything running smoothly in the background. The room could have been a little bit bigger, and the food a little bit better, but I'd do the whole again. And I probably should have paid a bit more at the beginning to upgrade so I wouldn't have anything to complain about. I do not like crowds but there were more than 6000 passengers on board. However, I felt the crowds only poolside on the sea days and at a couple of shows. The water slides have almost 70 steps to climb, but I did climb multiple times each day and loved the green slide. Days at sea were very relaxing at the Solarium, and it was still a short walk to the Water Slides. I avoided the elevators, so I got a decent workout walking stairs. I also used the gym and the running track on deck 5. Dinner was the first disappointment with mediocre dining the entire week. I was my-time dining, as "traditional" was full when I booked a year earlier. The food was ok, the service consistently bad in the MDR. I had 3 different waiters the 4 nights I ate there before deciding to call it quits. I booked the Solarium Bistro for dinner, and that was the best dining of the week at that point. I was fine with hot dogs or whatever the rest of the cruise, but one of my friends suggested Wonderland. We loved the food and service since the entire experience was great. I enjoyed Mini Bites since they had a made to order omelette option for breakfast. I only ate in the Windjammer once while in port. It was too crowded to be enjoying but the food was fine. The cabin was spotless and always kept clean. The beverage service was great the entire week (except in the MDR). The staff was all working hard. I used the cash I had brought to tip the bar service and the cabin attendant instead of the waitstaff. I loved the aqua show, and I got to see it one more time by just hanging out by the rock climbing wall.
